Care Instructions
Every I am Puerile piece is made to last. Follow the guidance below for your edition to keep your wearable art looking its best.
Hand Painted
How should I wash my painted tee?
- Turn inside out before washing to protect the design.
- Wash at up to 30°C on a gentle cycle — no heavy spin drama.
- Wash with similar colours — your tee prefers harmonious company.
Will the paint come off in the wash?
- Nope. Not a chance.
- We use a special fabric paint that's fully cured before your tee ever reaches you.
- That means it's bonded to the fibres, not just sitting on top. So you can wash with confidence — your wearable art is made to last.
- Just follow the care guide and treat it kindly, and it'll stay vibrant through many adventures.
Can I tumble dry it?
- Do not tumble dry.
- Air dry flat or on a hanger, away from direct sunlight.
- Let it breathe like a freshly painted mural.
What about ironing?
- Use a low heat setting.
- Only iron the side with the painted design—never sandwich the tee with both sides touching, as heat may cause the paint to transfer.
- Always place a layer of baking paper or a scrap piece of fabric over the painted area before ironing.
- Never iron directly on the paint.
- After a few washes, gentle ironing (with protection!) can revive the vibrancy of the painted design.
Printed
How should I wash my printed tee?
- Turn inside out before washing to protect the print.
- Wash at up to 30°C on a gentle cycle — no heavy spin drama.
- Wash with similar colours.
Can I tumble dry it?
- Do not tumble dry.
- Air dry flat or on a hanger, away from direct sunlight.
- Think of it as letting your tee bask in a soft breeze rather than a hot whirlwind.
What about ironing?
- Avoid ironing directly on the print.
- If needed, flip the tee inside out and use a low heat setting.
- Or skip the iron altogether — wrinkles are just fabric's way of being expressive.
Printed with piercing
Are the piercings safe to wear on the tee?
- Yes! We use 316 stainless steel, known for its durability and low reactivity.
- But remember — they're designed for fabric, not flesh.
Can I take the piercings out and use them as body jewellery?
- Nope. We strongly advise against it.
- These piercings are designed for aesthetic purposes and not intended for body piercings or reuse.
What if I remove the piercing and something goes wrong?
- We're all for creative expression — but if you go rogue, it's at your own risk.
- We can't take responsibility for any damage or injury caused by altering the garment.
How should I wash my pierced tee?
- Turn inside out before washing or use a laundry bag to protect the piercing.
- Wash at up to 30°C on a gentle cycle — no heavy spin drama.
- Wash with similar colours.
- Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or soaking for long periods.
Can I tumble dry it?
- Do not tumble dry.
- Air dry flat or on a hanger, away from direct sunlight.

What about ironing?
- Never iron directly over the jewellery / piercing. They're bold, beautiful, and not fans of heat.
- Turn the tee inside out and use a low heat setting.
- If needed, place a thin cloth (like a pillowcase or tea towel) between the iron and the fabric for extra protection.
- Or skip the iron and embrace the crinkle — it's texture with attitude.
Any other tips?
- Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or soaking for long periods.
- Store folded or hung in a cool, dry place — preferably somewhere it can overhear compliments.
